'Distinct Times' feat. Eyeda Sophia is part of Bleu, the EP
'Bleu' is a carefully crafted, four song, EP written from the perspective of a time travelling Yogi who is here to examine the state of the Earth before the Great Spiritual Awakening. These songs are the Yogi's own reflection on what they know and what they hope the people would, sooner or later, inevitably realize.
Available online on all streaming platforms.
lyrics
(If it’s real, you don’t say
If it’s real, let’s go all the way)
Am I allowed to speak to you?
Am I allowed to speak my mind?
Am I allowed to talk to you?
Am I allowed to look you in the eye?
If everything is going down
Should I go down with them?
If everything is okay now
Should I leave it all up in the air?
Something doesn’t feel right
This place has changed since you took it
It used to be my home
But now it’s just a place I live in
Distinct times, distinct lifestyles
Once upon a time
Distinct times, distinct lifestyles
Once upon a time
(Rap)
I'm not allowed
To look you in the eye
And tell you that you've lied, denied
Before
My mind is sore
Sorted aborted perpetual feelings of needing
To be in tune with you
Cause I'm the seed
And what good is it
If you breed and don't
even see them no more
What good is it
Breathing when the ones that's bleeding
For yours ain't even bleeding for'sure
I even the scores, at the last hour
My past towered over me like Ginobili
Now even
Past hours
I Pack powerful
Essential healing aids, you feel the rain
Pouring in
Pouring in.. close the curtain
I'm certain I averted my purpose for too long,
Too strong and smoke stronger
Some folks fonder and
Babble about practice and battle, but
All fiction and never read a book
Or palms, I print, my honest ink on the Brink of
Breaching the border and bridging the Gap
Kid with the cap
Burning a back
Back to the woods
Earning my slaps
Firm with the rap
Reaffirming and confirming my stats
I made my ways past the river, with a limp, bad liver and some herb in my sack
No turning back
Not now, certain of that
Am I allowed to speak to you?
Am I allowed to speak my mind?
Am I allowed to talk to you?
Am I allowed to look you in the eye?
